Your Experience
Penn State Brandywine offers the Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with two options: a general option or a vertebrate physiology option, that can be completed on campus. Students may also transition to University Park at the beginning of their junior year to complete their Biology degree.
GENERAL BIOLOGY OPTION
This degree is for students interested in living things and includes classes in animals, plants, and microorganisms, plus ecology and evolution.
VERTEBRATE PHYSIOLOGY OPTION
This degree prepares students for professional degree programs in medical and allied health fields as well as graduate degree programs in Biology. Courses include plant biology and ecology, physiology, neuroscience, developmental biology, genetics, and cell biology.
Undergraduate Research
Undergraduate student research is an important part of our program. Students have coauthored research papers with faculty in biology, chemistry, and physics.
