Abington Career Fair on October 30, 2024
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Students of any major or year can attend. The experience of attending can lead to an internship or full-time job, or just help you become comfortable speaking with employers and expand your network of contacts.
Am I EXCUSED FROM CLASS for the Fair?
Students are encouraged to request to be excused from class for this “University approved event”. Instructors are to excuse you from class provided you communicate with faculty in advance and plan to make up missed work. Use your best judgment as to whether you should miss class.
How can I provide PROOF THAT I ATTENDED the Fair?
Faculty will likely require proof of your attendance. Career Services will provide faculty with an attendance list following the fair. To appear on the list, students must check-in upon entering the Athletic Building and must attend the fair.
Why research WHICH EMPLOYERS are attending?
Every student should review the information about the employers attending before deciding to participate. Review the qualifications they are seeking (academic level, major, etc.) and types of positions (internships, jobs) in advance. Not all companies have opportunities for first year students and not all majors are being sought. It will vary by Career Fair.
