New Student Orientation

Welcome to Penn State! We're glad you have accepted your offer of admission and we look forward to meeting you during the New Student Orientation program. Check out the program details below and contact us if you have any questions. 

The New Student Orientation (NSO) program is required for all first-year students to attend. The program is your introduction to Penn State University and the Brandywine campus.  

Select Your NSO Date

New Student Orientation is held on specific dates in May, June, and August. Prior to being able to select your date, you will receive instructions by email for completing the online placement test. Once you have completed the placement test you will be able to log in to make your reservation: http://orientation.psu.edu/reservation.
RESERVATIONS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL APRIL.

On Your NSO Day

The program will begin in the Student Union Building. Please arrive between 8:30 and 8:45 a.m. to check in and receive your Penn State student ID and other important materials. This program will conclude at 3:30 p.m. Students are permitted to bring one guest/parent, who will attend separate sessions for most of the day.

Remember that you MUST bring a photo ID (driver’s license, Pennsylvania ID card, Passport, military ID) with you for identification purposes.
