Drew Anderson joined Penn State Brandywine’s Earth sciences department as a part-time lecturer in August. He received his bachelor of science in meteorology from Penn State and immediately jumped into broadcast news, working as a meteorologist at NBC in Lancaster and NBC in Scranton, and he’s currently a meteorologist at FOX 29 in Philadelphia. In 2014, he started teaching at Penn State Abington and a few other local universities as an adjunct professor.
Students, faculty and staff across all Penn State campuses will now have free access to virtual technology programming provided by the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania (TCCP), thanks to a newly expanded partnership with TCCP spearheaded by Penn State Harrisburg, a longtime member of the council.
Penn State Brandywine has established a partnership with Epic Double Decker, a local restaurant in Media. As part of Brandywine’s strategic plan, “New Opportunities, New Stories,” one of the campus’ goals is to increase visibility by partnering with private and local businesses in the Media area.
Forty-six of Penn State Brandywine's fall student-athletes received Penn State University Athletic Conference All-Academic Team honors following the conclusion of the fall 2023 semester.
The United East Conference Presidents Council announced that it has accepted Penn State Brandywine's application to become a full member of the league. Brandywine will become the United East's 18th core member beginning in 2024-25 with all 12 of its varsity programs competing in the conference.
Terrie Wong, assistant professor of communication arts and sciences at Penn State Brandywine, received a National Best (Published) Article Award and an International Top Faculty (Conference) Paper Award in 2023.
