'The Fault in Our Stars' chosen as Penn State Brandywine's Common Read

Penn State Brandywine has chosen the novel The Fault in Our Stars as its 2013-14 Common Read. Throughout the upcoming academic year, students, faculty, staff and the community are encouraged to read this book and come together for various events to discuss its themes and ideologies. Some teachers also will assign the book in class and use it during academic discussion.

The Fault in Our Stars, by John Green, was included in Amazon's Best Books of the Month list in January. It is a fictional story about two kindred spirits, a 16-year-old girl with terminal cancer and a 17-year-old ex-basketball player and amputee, who fall in love. The book follows theses teens as they try to understand the meaning of their lives and how they will be remembered once they're gone.

This book will be available for sale in the Brandywine Bookstore. For more information on the Brandywine Common Read, visit http://bit.ly/CommonRead13-14 online.
