STEM Options: Lead by Learning
A one-day program highlighting women in STEM and hands-on learning of STEM content for middle school and high school teachers.

Pre-registration for this workshop is required and open to teachers from any district as well as informal educators and home school instructors. Registration is available now until January 10, 2020. Break, transition to discipline sessions

Discipline session – content and hands-on exploration
Lunch (provided with workshop), The Interdisciplinary Nature of STEM, Connections to Society, and Emerging Fields
The conference will be held at Penn State Brandywine in Media, PA (directions to campus). Parking is free and available in the large lot along Middletown Road/Route 352.
If you are arriving in town the evening before the conference, we recommend spending your Friday evening at any of the area hotels. We do not have a block of rooms reserved at any one hotel.
Events will begin in the Main Building (see campus map, Building #2) on the first floor. Badge and conference bag pick-up will be in the first-floor hallway. Follow the signage for “STEM Event” to take you from the parking lot to registration.
Be green! Bring a water bottle to refill during the workshop. Coffee/tea will be available during the morning plenary and at lunch, but note that our laboratories will not allow food or beverage during the discipline sessions.
We will not be providing Act 48 credits but will be providing a certificate of participation confirming attendance at the full workshop.
