The 7th Grade STEM Options Program is a one-day program held at Penn State Brandywine that provides Exploration and Discovery sessions with a Career panel for girls and their teachers to attend. Exploration sessions provide an opportunity to hear about STEM careers and pathways from female professionals in an auditorium-style setting. Discovery sessions are hands-on, discovery-based opportunities in classrooms and laboratory settings led by professional women in STEM. The Career panel is presented in a casual, Q&A setting so girls can ask any and all questions on their minds about the realities of pursuing and having a career in STEM.
Participation in this program is open to schools (15 girls maximum and 2 or more teachers per school) and is restricted to 200 girls. Pre-registration is required. Contact Rhonda DelViscio (email: email@example.com, phone: 610-892-1296) to learn more.
