Professor's science of learning event and best practices published in new book

A chapter written by Assistant Professor of Human Development and Family Studies Jennifer Zosh was included in the recently published book Design, Make, Play: Growing the Next Generation of STEM Innovators.

The chapter discusses the events Zosh and her colleagues planned for the Ultimate Block Party events in New York City, Toronto and Baltimore, which celebrated and educated more than 65,000 attendees and their young children about the science of learning and the importance of play in child development. In the chapter, Zosh also shares best practices for small-scale and large-scale scientific outreach events.
