First-year students have earned a high school diploma, or the equivalent. This includes high school graduates attending other colleges or universities who have fewer than 18 credit hours.

Transfer applicants have earned a high school diploma or the equivalent, and have a minimum of 18 credits from an accredited college or university.

Adult Students
An adult student is 24 years of age or older, a veteran of the armed services, or is returning to school after four or more years of employment, homemaking, or other activity, or a person who assumes multiple adult roles.
