Building A Successful Business Using the Internet
A majority of small business ideas that utilize the Internet fail because they didn't do enough research, didn't have the right kind of content, didn't have a plan that drives business to their site, and didn't know how to analyze their traffic, and the list could go on and on. This ten-session course uses theory and proven practice to assist those who are serious about starting and operating an online business. Using smart tools, but not requiring technical knowledge, the course takes participants step-by-step through all of the stages of developing an online business.

Managing Employee Performance Certificate Program
This is a leadership competency certificate program for new and experienced frontline supervisors. It focuses on developing practical skills in four key areas relating to the successful supervision of an employee’s performance and productivity. The course is delivered over a four-week period of time and consists of (four) half-day modules. The course includes a variety of in-class skill practice opportunities. The spaced-learning format provides participants with a chance to apply what they have learned each week back on the job.

The Business and Professional Writing Certificate
The certificate program in Business and Professional Writing is designed for adult learners (degreed or non-degreed) who seek a competitive edge in the workforce.

The program provides an opportunity for practical, professional development for adults who aspire to improve their creative thinking skills and to become more effective communicators in our information-driven economy.

The curriculum, taught by award-winning Penn State faculty, includes technical writing, proposals, reports, and presentations common to business, industry and government; and Web-based writing, including the analysis and composition of informative, persuasive, and creative Web texts. The program can be taken as a credit program (12-15 credits) or as a non-credit professional development certificate.

Certificate of Youth Development and Social Justice
The certificate program was designed to help you understand the unique challenges facing adolescents and young adults in our rapidly changing world. Intended for counselors, educators, family therapists, social workers and other professionals dedicated to serving the developmental needs of youth in contemporary society, the program provides an overview of the major issues that impact youth development from a social justice perspective. The program can be taken as a credit program (18 credits) or as a non-credit professional development certificate.
