Penn State Brandywine offers the prerequisite courses for Allied Health professional programs. Students take classes at Penn State Brandywine for two to four years and then transfer to an Allied Health program. Please keep in mind the Penn State Brandywine campus does NOT offer clinical courses on campus.

Penn State Brandywine and Thomas Jefferson University Allied Health Partnership
Penn State Brandywine and Thomas Jefferson University work cooperatively to provide opportunities for students interested in allied health careers. Students take two years of recommended courses at Penn State Brandywine and then apply to transition to Thomas Jefferson's College of Health Professions or School of Nursing to complete their degree in one of the following areas: radiologic sciences, bioscience technologies, nursing or occupational therapy. Applicants from Penn State Brandywine are guaranteed acceptance to these programs if the following requirements are met:
- Student has a minimum 3.0 GPA. All of the programs at Thomas Jefferson University have become increasingly competitive and most of the students accepted have GPAs higher than 3.2.
- Student has passed all required courses with a C letter grade or better.
- Student has completed all required courses before enrolling at Thomas Jefferson University.
- Seats are available in the program at Thomas Jefferson University. Thomas Jefferson University has rolling admissions, so students are encouraged to apply early.
- Student has passed a police background check, required by Thomas Jefferson University upon acceptance.
The Doctor of Pharmacy (DPharm) program at Thomas Jefferson University is not covered by an articulation agreement. Prerequisites for DPharm can be completed at Penn State Brandywine. Students take a standardized exam (PCAT), and then apply for the DPharm program through PharmCAS.
The Physician Assistant (PA) program and the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program at Thomas Jefferson University are not covered by the articulation agreement. All students applying for these programs must have completed a four-year baccalaureate degree, including specific courses. Penn State Brandywine's biology major with the physiology option, or our psychology major with the science option are the best degree programs for students interested in PA and DPT.

Accelerated RN to B.S. in Nursing
The RN to B.S. in Nursing is offered through Penn State's College of Nursing. Students who have completed an accredited RN program are eligible to apply for this program. Courses are offered to Brandywine through videoconferencing technology from Penn State Schuylkill.
