Penn State Brandywine does not offer comprehensive health services for students. A first aid kit is available in each campus building for minor health needs. In a medical emergency, students should dial 911 and contact campus security at 610-892-1496.
Individual accident and sickness insurance is available at minimal group rates. Enrollments must take place during the first three weeks of each semester. It is strongly suggested that all students maintain adequate health insurance while enrolled in college. Please note that Penn State DOES require international students to have medical insurance. Applications for student health insurance are available in the Office of Student Affairs, 2nd floor, Commons/Athletic Center.
Penn State University requires all degree-seeking students, domestic and international, to be immunized against measles, mumps, and rubella and recommends being fully immunized against varicella (chicken pox), pertussis (whooping cough) and influenza (flu). You must obtain an official copy of your immunization record from either your health care provider's office or a school record. You will need this information to accurately submit your immunizations online at myUHS.
Once submitted online, you must fax the official record to 814-865-9309 (Immunizations/Medical Records). Please also complete the Online Health History Form through myUHS.
For more information on immunizations, visit http://studentaffairs.psu.edu/health/immunizations/. There you will find detailed requirement and exemption information. Failure to submit your immunization information will result in a denial of registration for your second semester at Penn State. Finally, we encourage you to print a copy of the information you have reported for records. Should you have any questions or experience problems submitting your immunizations or personal medical history on line, please contact Immunization & Medical Records at email@example.com or 814-863-1975.
