Lori Elias received her B.A. in English and M.B.A in Marketing from Wilkes University (Wilkes-Barre, PA). Professor Elias’ diverse 30-year career includes leadership positions Marketing, Communications, and Sales across several industries and disciplines. Areas of expertise include but are not limited to strategic planning, branding, integrated MarComm initiatives, and consumer behavior. Additionally, she is a long-time Penn Stater, serving as part-time faculty for Penn State’s Wilkes-Barre campus for approximately 10 years.
Professor Elias loves to travel—mostly because she loves to meet new people , try their cuisine, and admire the evolution of their architecture. She has visited 26 of our 50 states (so far!), and recently toured Prague and Ireland. In the 90’s, Professor Elias fed her love of Chinese culture, philosophies, and wellness approaches with a trip to Beijing, Nanjing, and Shanghai, China, and hopes to return again for additional learning and enjoyment. She encourages students to unleash their own inquisitive natures and integrate personal interests with classroom pursuits.
Of course, as a life-long marketer and self-proclaimed “geek,” Professor Elias looks forward to the Super Bowl every year for the “Cannes Film Festival” of advertising debuts.
