Beginning in fall 2014, we will offer two different B.S. degrees in Biology that you can complete at Penn State Brandywine. Students may also transition to University Park at the beginning of their junior year to complete a B.S. in Biology.

Biology with the General Option

This degree is for students interested in living things and includes classes in animals, plants, microorganisms, plus ecology and evolution.

Biology with the Vertebrate Physiology Option

This degree prepares students for professional degree programs in medical and allied health fields as well as graduate degree programs in biology.  Courses include anatomy and physiology, neuroscience, developmental biology, genetics and cell biology.

Research Opportunities

Undergraduate student research is an important part of our program. Students have coauthored research papers with faculty in biology, chemistry and physics.
